Alyse Nicholson

Hello my name is Alyse Nicholson!

I moved to Ontario in 2012 from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to attend school. I graduated from the Illustration program at Sheridan College back in 2018. I have always been a lover of the arts and growing up I was always drawing. In my work I want to create a sense of nostalgia for the reader/viewer. I work in watercolour for the majority of my work and sometimes gouache. I enjoy working narratively and want to give hope to the viewer. I love drawing people and animals and picturesque scenes that create warmth. My work has an emphasis on children's book illustrations. I am a collector of children's books, toys, early teen novels, and comics.
